HubSpot Setup Guide
Connect Service IQ to your HubSpot CRM to keep customers, projects, jobs, and contractors in sync.

Service IQ integrates with HubSpot using a Marketplace-based OAuth connection. Once connected, Service IQ automatically manages required permissions, properties, and relationships. No Private App, API keys, or manual scope configuration is required.
The integration supports bi-directional synchronization and provides full visibility into sync activity through built-in logs.
Prerequisites
Before connecting Service IQ to HubSpot, confirm the following:
- You have HubSpot Professional or Enterprise
- HubSpot Projects is enabled in your portal (required for syncing Jobs)
- You have permission to install Marketplace apps in HubSpot
HubSpot Projects Required
Install from the HubSpot Marketplace
The quickest way to connect Service IQ to HubSpot.
- Go to the Service IQ listing in the HubSpot Marketplace.
- Click "Install app".
- Review the requested permissions and click "Connect app".
- Select the HubSpot account you want to connect.
- You will be redirected back to Service IQ once the connection is complete.
Automatic Property Provisioning
Review the HubSpot Integration Dashboard
Navigate to Settings → HubSpot in Service IQ.
At the top of the page, you'll see:
- Connection status
- Last sync timestamp
- Counts for Customers, Jobs, and Contractors synced
- Action buttons for "Pull from HubSpot" and "Initial Sync"

Enable Two-Way Sync
Activate automatic synchronization between Service IQ and HubSpot.
- In the Overview tab, toggle "Enable Two-Way Sync" to ON.
- This activates automatic synchronization between Service IQ and HubSpot.

How Data Syncs Between Service IQ and HubSpot
Understanding the entity relationships.
- • Name, phone, address, notes, and mapped properties stay aligned
- • Service IQ automatically creates a unique Service IQ ID property in HubSpot
- • Jobs sync to HubSpot's native Projects object
- • Includes title, description, status, priority, dates, and location
- • Requires HubSpot Projects to be enabled
Plan Requirement
- • Contractors sync as both a HubSpot Company and a related HubSpot Contact
- • A static relationship type "Contractor" is applied automatically
- • Associations between Company and Contact are created and maintained by Service IQ
Review Field Mappings & Run Initial Sync
Configure mappings and push your existing data to HubSpot.
- Review mappings in each tab (Customers, Jobs, Contractors).
- Some mappings are automatic and locked to ensure data integrity.
- Optional fields can be mapped to existing HubSpot properties.
- Click "Initial Sync" at the top of the HubSpot Integration page.
- Progress and results appear in Sync Logs.

Monitor sync activity and resolve common issues.
Sync Logs Tab
The Sync Logs tab shows:
- • Every sync operation
- • Direction (Service IQ → HubSpot or HubSpot → Service IQ)
- • Status (Success or Error)
- • Entity and timestamp
This is the first place to check if something doesn't look right.

Jobs not syncing?
Fields showing "Loading"?
Data not updating automatically?
If issues persist, review Sync Logs or contact support.
Pulling Data from HubSpot
Use "Pull from HubSpot" to import data into Service IQ:
- HubSpot Companies and Contacts can be imported as Customers
- Contacts are routed based on relationship type:
• Employee → Customer
• Contractor → Contractor
